The SS Thistlegorm is a wreck near El Tur, Egypt, in the Gulf of Suez, sunk by German bomber aircraft. Divers reach it by boat, with depths ranging from around 16 to 18 metres down to 32 metres. It is rated for advanced divers, with strong current reported at the site. It is often described as the most dived shipwreck in the world. Diving is considered good in every month except February. Crustaceans, devil firefish, frogfish, scorpionfish, moray eels and nudibranchs are resident, while bigeye trevally, crocodilefish, great barracuda and turtles are occasionally seen.
