Maaya Thila is a pinnacle dive site in the Maldives, in the Laccadive Sea. It lies within a Marine Reserve and is reached by boat or liveaboard. Depths range from about 6 to 30 metres, and the site is rated for intermediate divers. Strong current is noted here. The best months to dive are January to April. The site is known for whitetip reef sharks hunting at night. Whitetip reef sharks, grey reef sharks and moray eels are resident. Rays, cephalopods, frogfish and scorpionfish, hawksbill turtles and reef stonefish are occasionally seen.
